The buildings in this multi-building complex are three story structures with the first floor dedicated to commercial use and the upper two floors to residential use. The walls were constructed using a combination of reinforced structural masonry at the bottom walls and structural timbers at the upper walls. The floors and roof were both built using timber trusses. To resist the required 130 MPH wind speeds and Seismic Zone D loadings, structural steel moment frames were used where required.
