This 3-Story, 103 room hotel was built using exterior load-bearing cold-formed metal studs and interior load-bearing timber studs on a shallow concrete foundation. Interior timber shear walls and exterior metal strap bracing resist all lateral forces. The floors and roof were constructed with 2x12 members with a plywood diaphragm. This building was designed to resist 130 MPH wind and Seismic 'D' loadings.
